Nurturing Place

The Nurturing Place is a facility in Jersey City where mothers and children in crisis get the help and support they need. MOMs has supported The Nurturing Place since its inception.

OLMC MOMs has been helping The Nurturing Place for several years by giving donations each month, either monetary or special requested items such as diapers, cheerios, wipes, paper towels, etc.  Please, check the newsletter each month for special requests.  We are also always in need of volunteers to drive our donations over to Jersey City each month.   Moms who have driven will tell you what a truly special experience it is to share with your children.  The staff at TNP are very warm and welcoming!

We accept donations at every monthly MOMs meeting.  Contact Marleni Noble at for further information.  To find out more about The Nurturing Place and other components of The York Street Project in Jersey City, you can also check out their website:

Circle of Care

Circle of Care is a service provided by MOMS members to MOMS members who are in need of help, in the form of meals, transportation or visits. A new baby, medical condition, death or family emergency qualifies a MOMS member for help. Please let us know if you are in need or willing to help.  Your time and effort to help another family is very valuable. Meals can be as easy as picking up a pizza. We need as many willing volunteers as possible. Contact Tori Schoeler at  for more information and/or be placed on the email list.

Share a meal with some of our senior neighbors.  Consider bringing a meal on a Saturday or Sunday to share with the residents of a small senior living facility in Ridgewood.  Whether cooking your favorite meal or providing take-out, the time spent with the residents will be rewarding.   The residents enjoy your company as much as the meal so bring your little ones or cook with a friend. It is a great activity for a CCD group or scout troop.  Contact Tori Schoeler at to sign up for a date.  For information on SHARE go to
